I knew I couldn't cut it in the usual fashion since she has such tight curls, so I took pieces of curls and cut them around the head until it looked even. She's been scooting herself forward on her elbows for a few weeks, but she finally got the idea to try to use her legs as well. She now can sit up from lying on her stomach on her own. At the very first store, the clerk asked if the girls I was shopping for were my grandkids or nieces. Has this adoption really aged me 30 years? It's hard to keep my focus on anything, but the non-stop vigil by the computer for several weeks has worn me out. My brain's going 90 miles an hour, but my body is exhausted. One agency that I talked to said we couldn't request a girl at all since there's such a long list of people wanting girls. So we have decided on China. It will take at least two years, but we can start saving miles on the credit cards! Now that we're actually looking, we're assuming it will be an Asian country, but I don't think we really care. I'm doing some agency research online to see what the requirements are. Since Mike's in his 40's, I don't know if we qualify to get an infant from Korea.
